WCARS license exams will be given on the stage at 10 AM.
Programmable calculators (unless reset in presence of examiners) and cellphones used as calculators are prohibited.
Please bring a copy of your license or FRN if you do not have a license.
You must have a valid email address on file with the FCC to receive notification of filing and issuance of your license.
In 2025 $10 will be collected for each exam taken unless otherwise exempted for the WCARS VEC FEE. Retests are $10 each. Once the completed application is accepted by the FCC $35 must be submitted to the FCC through their website within 20 days. Please bring a valid ID and copy of your license if you are licensed. If you have a pending application from an upgrade, please bring the original CSCE and a copy of it with a copy of your license if you are already licensed.
Exam fee for applicants under 18 years of age (proof required) shall be waived for first exam taken during each VE session. Should the applicant pass the exam, subsequent exams at the next level may be offered as for other applicants at no charge. Should the applicant fail the first exam, a retest during the same exam session will be subject to the $10 fee. Valid ID will be required – Parent or guardian ID with a copy of birth certificate or valid passport if no other government issued ID is available for under age children suggested.
We submit successful applications in a timely manner to our VEC coordinator and have no control over the license application process after submission so please be patient.
